There’s a little field in Windsor that has become one of our favorite places to wander. Jim’s Field is where my husband often goes metal detecting, and where we somehow always end up taking photographs, wandering around, and noticing something new. We visit throughout the year, but there’s something especially beautiful about this place in the fall, when the grasses turn golden, the distant hills fill with color, and the late-season foliage gathers along the old stone wall and weathered barn. This painting captures one of those familiar Berkshire views that has become part of our own little collection of memories.
